Updated Pricing Information (April 2024)
Serene Nails is committed to providing transparent prices, amazing services, safe products and an overall relaxing and comfortable salon experience. We pride ourselves on keeping our prices coherent with the quality of our products and service and we remain committed to ensuring our prices are as fair as possible. By not increasing our prices for the last two years, even though we experience the ever-increasing costs of materials, shipping and business costs. In order to continue to provide an amazing service for all of our clients to enjoy, we have put some measures in place to ensure a smooth seamless customer experience.

Our Prices:
Serene Nails has provided an online booking system, which allows clients to access all of our prices, services, dates and times prior to booking any appointments. We have implemented this system, as it allows clients to view all prices and agree to them prior to booking, confirming and attending appointments. Therefore providing all client’s with the opportunity to make an informed choice.

Please Note: As all of our prices are available online and we can be contacted via IG, Facebook, TikTok. Whatsapp, telephone, e-mail and live chat (On our website). It will be deemed all clients are happy and agree/ consent to our prices. In addition, Serene Nails will not be held responsible for services booked in error, which may result in a price reduction or increase to any services. In such cases Serene Nails will inform clients of the change (Where possible), however we cannot take responsibility for the price difference, or any service bookings made in error. No Exceptions!

 

Add-Ons During Service:

During your service/ treatment at Serene Nails, if you request nail art or additional modifications such as nail repairs, nail creations, gel removal, extreme nail shapes etc. These requests are classed as “Add-ons to the service” and as such are chargeable. If in doubt during the service, with regards to whether a nail modification or nail art is chargeable or for information on costs please ask your technician during the service (Before the nail art or modification takes place). Please note: The above list is not exhaustive, therefore any add-ons not listed/mentioned above are also included under these terms.

In addition, if nail art or modifications is not requested when the initial booking is made. Serene Nails will try where possible, to accommodate the extra add-ons to the service. However, where Serene Nails are not able to accommodate, we reserve the right to not provide nail art, service modifications or add-ons. No Exceptions!

Admin Fee:
Serene Nails currently accept Credit/ Debit cards and contactless payments. However please note when choosing to use the above as a form of payment there will be an admin fee. However we also accept cash BBD and US Dollars with an exchange rate of (1 USD = 2 BBD).

Card Machine:
Serene Nails currently accepts Credit/ Debit cards and contactless payments. However, at times due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g loss of power, machine error, service provider error) we may not be able to accept card payments at that time. Please Note: in cases like these Serene Nails, cannot be held responsible for availability or non-availability of the card machine. Therefore clients would need to provide an alternative method of payment.

**Updated COVID-19 Statement** With regards to COVID-19, our priority continues to be the well-being of our clients and staff. Therefore we ask if you are suffering from any flu like symptoms including (But not limited to): Fever, a sore throat, coughing, sneezing, sniffling or constantly clearing your throat. Or if you have come into contact with anyone suffering from COVID-19. Please do not book any appointments/ please cancel any up-coming appointments. If you are unsure about wether you should attend or book any appointments, due to your current health status. Please contact us by phone or email, so we can provide advice and guidance. 


Please Note: Upon arrival at the salon, if it becomes apparent that you are showing flu like symptoms including (But not limited to): Fever, a sore throat, coughing, sneezing, sniffling or constantly clearing your throat. Your service will not be carried out. In addition if during the service, staff notice any of the above flu like symptoms. The service will be stopped immediately. No exceptions!


We are aware that the above measures, may make booking appointments a bit more challenging. However we do believe that these additional health and safety measures, will ensure you our client and our staff are protected during this sensitive time. 


Where are you located?

We are located on the lower ground floor, at 4 Skyway Plaza, Hastings, Christ Church. Barbados. The Plaza is opposite Blakey’s bar & restaurant. 


What is your opening times?

We are open:

Tuesday - Friday 9.30am - 5.00pm

Saturdays - 9.30am - 4:00pm

Mondays & Sunday’s we are closed 


What’s services/ products do you offer?

We specialise in nail extensions, natural nail care, pedicures, lashes and facials. We also retail a wide range of beauty products such as soaps, hand creams, bath bombs, ready to wear lashes and make-up from top brands such as NYX, Barry M and MUA. In addition we also stock luxury perfumes such as Roberto Cavalli , Karl Lagerfeld, Burberry plus much much more.

How can I book an appointment?

You can book your Sermazing beauty appointments, using any of the methods below:

Do you accept debit/ credit cards?

Yes we accept all major credit/ debit cards, inc chip & pin and contactless payments.
We also accept cash in-store (Bajan Dollars & US).


Do you stock gift cards?

Yes we do!! Prices for gift cards start from $50.00, however gift cards can be tailored, to meet your specific needs. For any information regarding gift cards, please feel free to give us a call on (246) 241-9630 or send us a message/ email serenenails3@outlook.com to discuss. 


Do you accept walk-ins or is it just appointments only?

We accept both walk-ins and appointments. However we do advise, that you book an appointment to secure your desired treatment time. Appointment bookings do have priority over walk-in services and we’d hate for you to have to wait or not be able to fit you in for a service.

If I can no longer make my appointment, is there anything I need to do? 

The moment you discover, you can no longer make your appointment at the salon. Please contact us by phone, email, WhatsApp or via the website to reschedule the date or cancel the booking. Ideally we require 24 hours notice, for appointment cancellations. Please Note: Not turning up for a booked appointment, will incur a $10.00 fee to your account. This fee will become payable, at your next appointment. Also 3 no-shows and your account will be frozen, meaning you will not be able to use/ book in for any services at the salon for 2 months. No exceptions!


 

If I’m running late, can I still attend my salon appointment? 

If you are running late, please contact us 15 minutes (via phone, WhatsApp or email) before your appointment, to let us know your expected time of arrival. Unfortunately if you are more than 15 minutes late, a $10.00 charge will be added to your final bill on the day. If you are more than 30 mins late, your appointment will be cancelled and you will need to reschedule your booking. No exceptions! 


Do all nail extension services, come with colour?

All our nail extension services, come with either gel or flat polish. 


Do you remove gel polish and nail extensions?

Yes we do, however there is a charge for these services. Please visit our services online booking page, by clicking HERE for prices. 


Do you provide nail art?

Yes!! We provide all types of nail art flames, cheetah prints, chromes, foils, Chrystal’s, stamping, glitter, ombré you name it we provide it. Nail art is charged at an additional cost, to any manicure services. For our current nail art prices, please see our online booking page by clicking HERE. Please Note: If there is a specific type of nail art you require, and you don’t see it listed within our booking page. Please contact us to discuss. Also nail art prices may vary from the prices shown online, depending on the nail art requested. 

I’m not sure what design I’d like for my nails, is it ok if we create it as we go along during the service? 

We understand that with so many nail designs available, it can be hard to make a final decision on your nail art design and or colour choice. Where possible the Serene Nails team, will always try their best to help and guide you in making your final decision. However please note that due to time constraints, client bookings and smooth operation of the salon. The team are unable to spend long periods of time, choosing colours/ designs and we are unable to accommodate frequent changes during the services. Therefore we suggest that you come to your appointment, with at least 3 nails designs. So you and your technician can decide from the onset, which design you’d like to go ahead with. 

 

What should I wear for my SPA pedicure or flat polish pedicure appointment?

When having a SPA pedicure, we recommend you wear loose pants/ trousers. As these will be easy to roll up, when your feet are being soaked and will preserve your modesty when your legs are up in the pedi chair.


When having flat polish pedicure services, we recommend that you wear (bring) flip flops. As this will reduce the likelihood, of your polish being smudged at the end of the service. 


Is Serene Nails, on social media?

Can I get hard gel/ acrylic nail extensions done on my lunch break (in one hour)? Unfortunately we have to say no on this one. As every pair of hands is different, and come with their own unique quirks. We cannot provide nail extensions, in one hour. Please leave at least a two hour window, for your nail extension services. 


Can I bring my friend, boyfriend, entourage etc to my appointment?
We want all our Sermazettes, to fully relax and enjoy their treatments and services. Blocking  out all of their cares, so they can simply unwind. So to ensure this tranquility we do not allow friends, plus ones, boyfriends, entourage or children. Ps: If you and a friend have booked a service together, this is fine.


Can I bring a child to my appointment?

Sorry we do not accept children in the salon, for health and safety and insurance reasons. 


Do you provide nail extensions & gel polish for under 16’s?
We do not provide these services, for under 16’s. The only nail services we provide, is a flat polish manicure on the natural nail. Please Note: We do not provide services, for any persons under the age of 10


Do you provide services/ treatment for men?

Sorry guys we are an all female salon, however keep posted to our page as this is something that may change in the future. 

Is there a place to secure my valuables?

Unfortunately we do not have lockers, or space available to secure client belongings. Therefore we suggest you keep your belongings with you (nearby) during your service.


What happens if my personal effects are damaged or product etc gets on my personal effects/ valuables, whilst at the salon? 

The Serene Nails team take great care, when carrying out treatments and services in the salon. We strive to provide a safe, clean salon and ensure your personal items/ belongings are not damaged whilst you are using our service. However use of the salon is at clients own risk, therefore Serene Nails will not accept responsibility for damage, accidents or loss. 


Do you service clients, who have green nail?

Unfortunately we do not service any clients, who have green nail. If you are aware of or have green nail, please do not book in for any nail services at the salon. Your nails must be clean, and free from green before having any services. Also if green on the nail is discovered during a service, the service will be stopped and you will be advised on what you should do next with regards to your nails. Please Note: The Serene Nails team are not doctors, therefore we cannot diagnose any symptoms/ markings etc on the nails. Any diagnosis, tests, treatments etc must be carried out by a doctor.


Do you service clients who are or have been (within the last 7 days) ill with food poisoning, gastro, the flu or any other illness?
If you have been/ or you are ill, with any of the illnesses listed above or any other contagious illness. Please do not book in for any services. If you already have an appointment booked, please contact us to reschedule or cancel your booked appointment. Visiting the salon whilst ill, could cause other visitors in the salon to become ill and salon staff to become ill. This could ultimately cause disruption, to all appointments and 
services. 


Is there ever a situation where you, refuse service?

Yes!! We love providing Sermazing beauty treatments, for all our Sermazettes. However there are times, when we have to refuse service. These include, but are not limited to:

- Green on the nail
- Severely damaged nails

- Pain in the nails 

- Requests for nail extensions, when the natural nail is unhealthy 

- Requests for gel polish, when the natural nail is unhealthy 

- Request for nail services, when fresh cuts, wounds etc are present 

- Request for services when recovering from a recent operation,
with scaring/ swelling etc still present 

- Turning up for appointment/ services when ill
- Turning up more than 15 mins late for an appointment
- Where a client is behaving in a rude manner and or causing disruption to other service users


Rudeness, threats, aggressive behavior, high maintenance attitudes and haughty behavior:

This one isn’t a question of such, but a statement we feel is important to share.  So we can continue to provide a safe and happy place, for our clients and our staff. 


Every client that patronizes Serene Nails is welcomed, greeted, appreciated and treated with the upmost respect. Therefore Serene Nails does not tolerate rudeness towards staff or other service users, which may include (but is not limited to) shouting, swearing, intimidation, threats, racist/ offensive comments, aggressive attitudes, high maintenance attitudes, haughty behavior, excessive critiquing of service. Any client/ service user found to be behaving in such manner as listed above, will have their service stopped and will be asked to leave the salon.


Please Note: The Serene Nails Team reserves the right, to refuse/ cancel any services due to take place in the salon. If we believe that going ahead with the service may cause harm, injury or damage to clients or our staff. No exceptions!
